I firmly believe the reason why we’re so enthralled by celebrity romances is that they are often followed by something even more sublime – celebrity engagement rings. It’s no less the case with the most recent celebrity engagement. Sophie Turner from Game of Throne who plays character Sansa Stark, and her real-life love Joe Jonas recently became engaged with a stunning ring whose exact dimensions we can only speculate about.
From all media account, and the vague photos circulating of the ring we can tell that it is a pear-shaped diamond in a white gold or platinum split-shank setting. Luckily, our favorite online jeweler, James Allen has put forward a recommended understudy – and it looks like it might just be a ringer.
While we can’t tell from the celebrity photos if Sophie’s ring includes a halo or not – it is always a good choice if you’re looking to make your center stone stand out more (yes, I mean LOOK BIGGER!). A halo can add the appearance of a half-carat or more to the total size of your center stone.
Pave stones on the double shank and set in the halo add sparkle to this graceful setting. With an ideal or excellent cut diamond, the sparkle could be off the hook. Luckily, James Allen has a huge database to choose from. On first glance, I found this 1-carat CanadaMark pear diamond with F Color and VS1 Clarity.
While this setting does not have any reviews on the website just yet, you can take a look at many overall customer reviews of their experience shopping at James Allen, here. But with a style this hot – I’m certain the reviews will follow, so stay tuned to this page on the James Allen website for more.
