I was successful. The issue was sync frequency.
To use the OmniVision LP0615E3Y monitor in the HP8590A it's necessary to change the monitor's horizontal sync frequency:
- replace capacitor C11 (4700pf/100V) with a 4300pf/100V mylar (in my case, I added a cap in series to trim the value)
- you'll have to tweak the monitor's horizontal position and linearity and also the vertical position and linearity.
